This card exhibits solid corners, slight registration (focus) issues, bright colors, vivid imagery, white borders, a clean back, and strong visual appeal. Y.A. Tittle is a member of the NFL (National Football League) Hall of Fame and this is his third card. Y.A. Title matriculated at LSU (Louisiana State University) and was drafted by the AAFC (All American Football Conference) team the Cleveland Browns. The Browns sent Y.A. Title to the Baltimore Colts and he ended up playing for the San Francisco 49ers for ten seasons before being traded to the New York Giants. Despite being 42 years old, Y.A. Tittle flourished in New York, led the Giants to three consecutive NFL Championship Games (1961, 1962, and 1963), tossed 7 TD passes in a single game in 1962, and threw an amazing 86 Touchdown Passes in just three years. In a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1964 at the end of his career, Y.A. Tittle was bloodied after being tackled following a pick six. Morris Bergman took a picture of Y.A. Tittle kneeling on the ground with his helmet off and this image became the standard of the sports journalism and is now one of the most iconic images of the industry.
