Description: Offered here is a child’s play doll from 1950’s – she is unmarked but in good condition. Her blonde wig is mohair with short full bangs. The wig may be a replacement since the bangs are cut a bit longer than usual. The blue eyes have full upper lashes, painted lower lashes and they are sleep eyes. The eyebrows are single stroke, gently blushed cheeks and closed rosebud mouth. The head moves and arms and legs are attached and seem tightly strung. She is dressed in pink and blue print cotton school dress with set-in puffed sleeves, Peter Pan collar, snap closure and self-tie sash. The petticoat has lace trim and is attached to the underside of the skirt. She also wears lace trimmed panties but the elastic at the waist needs replacement. Her socks are nylon ribbed and she wears black and white saddle shoes with pink shoe laces. This is a very nice old doll – she came to me at the estate sale of a woman who was not only a doll collector, but a restorer of all manner of vintage dolls.
