Description: A set of eight rare tin litho 11-1/4" plates in sunny yellow with brown eyed Susan daisy type flowers from the late 1940s to 1950s. Although they may have been sold as trays, they came in an old picnic basket along with plastic dishes suitable for picnics and outdoor eating. Someone used them as plates. The plates have no indication as to maker, but I've found a set of tin litho metal kitchen canisters with the same design - I'll bet there were other items made to match, such as a cake carrier or bread box. They're all in very good condition with no rust, utensil marks, or scratches. Most have small areas of storage wear to the rim edges as shown in the photos. Price is for the set of eight.
