Description: This listing is for a vintage 1950s Simchat Torah Children’s Flag. It measures 13 1/2" x 9 3/4". This is a lithographic print are card stock type paper and will be mailed in a rigid mailer. This beautiful flag features several different vignettes related to Simchat Torah. In the center a rabbi and several children standing around an open Torah scroll while one child holds an Israeli flag. In another, a young boy holds a torah scroll while standing in front of a Rabbi. In yet another 3 boys wearing Yarmulkes are dancing while one holds an Israeli flag. There is Hebrew throughout including "שישו ושמחה בשמחת תורה", which in English means "Rejoice and Be Joyous on Simchat Torah". On the back are pictured a Lulav and Etrog for Sukkot as well as several pomegranates and a Sefer Torah. On the back in Hebrew it says "אגיל ואשמח בשמחת תורה בא יבא צמח בשמחת תורה", which is a Jewish poem that is sung or chanted on Simchat Torah. This is in remarkably good condition for Simchat Torah Flag with only some light creases at the two left hand corners and some light staining. Please see the photos for more detail.
