London, England - These four officials were expert witnesses at the preliminary hearing on Dr. Klaus Fuchs, British atomic scientist accused of passing on Atomic secrets to Russia, in London's boy street court this morning. At top left is William Hames Scarden of the British Security Service. Who said Fuchs told him he had been engaged in espionage from 1942 until about a year ago. Top right, Michael Perrin of the Ministry of Supply, who testified that Fuchs told him he had passed atomic information to a Russian agent in Boston, Massachusetts, in February 1945. Lower left, inspector Leonard Burt of Scotland Yard, who has charge of an alleged confession signed by Fuchs. Lower right, wing commander Henry Arnolom security officer in charge of policing Britain's Harwell Atomic Research Laboratory, who said Fuchs admitted he had disclosed atomic details to Soviet Russia.
