Jackie Robinson’s HISTORIC 1949 All-Star Game Award acquired from Rachael Robinson in the early 80’s & has been in the collectors family since. Marked Gorham & Co. with appropriate touch marks Sterling 302. Gorham & Co. which is comparable to Tiffany & Co. today. The item retains light tarnish/patina untouched other than a microfiber cloth on occasion. The original cedar inserts remain intact yet one insert shows some wear from use with a hairline fracture of the wood. This would be Jackie’s 1st all star game & the first allowing African Americans to play. A very significant historic piece. He would also win MVP the same season. His 1949 all star game bat sold for $1.08 Million not long ago from the same year along with his game used jersey climbing to a 7.3 Million Dollar level at Goldin Auctions.
