Description: A really nice M114--- Williams was originally offered in 1939 in a similiar but different batting pose- that one sold out in 1949 and was updated to the one offered here. This pose with notations on location and photographer would run until only 1954. The location of Baseball Magazine's offices ( noted in lower left corner just below photo) would change from N.Y.C. in '54 until their closing in 1957 to Washington D.C. This pose with the NYC notation was only available from'49 until '54 as their sales and popularity declined making it fairly scarce. Full sized and untrimmed, ( many M114s are cut down to reduce the large borders and make them easier to display ), this one is in nice shape with only a corner ding in the lower right corner......
