Description: Offered is an Antique/Vintage ~ Collectible ~ GN Great Northern Ry China Cup & Saucer in the ORIENTAL underglaze pattern from 1935 inception. Stamped on bottom of Cup is: 10 FF ~ SYRACUSE ~ U.S.A. ( for Oct. 1951 following the typical date coding ) & CC-10 ~ SYRACUSE China on the saucer. Regarding Syracuse date code for saucer...The CC-10 could be a mistake because 10-CC is Oct. 1948 and that is what I think this saucer is. The letters and numbers have been reversed in order and or does NOT follow the norm for SYRACUSE date coding. Anyways, This pattern was used onboard The Great Northern's famous Oriental Limited and used in the railroad's dining cars and only sometimes bottom inked with the G.N.R.Y. as well. This is authentic GN dining car china. Items ship USPS well packed for transport and cost depends on your location.
