Description: I have for sale a 1947 commemorative medal from the International Business Machines Corportation. The medal is bronze, it is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and in circulated condition. The medal was struck by the Merdallic Art company and Carl Paul Jennewein was the medalists. The obverse shows the large, raised bust of Thomas Watson. The reverse reads TO - ALL MEMBERS OF - THE IBM ORGANIZATION - IN APPRECIATION OF THEIR - LOYALTY, COOPERATION AND EFFORT - IN BEHALF OF THE CORPORATION - AND IN COMMEMORATION OF ITS - THIRD OF A CENTURY OF PROGRESS - 1914-1947 - THOAS WATSON - PRESIDENT and at the very bottom rim, the word THINK.
