Description: It is our pleasure to offer for your consideration from our personal collection in our smoke-free home: The book, "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" by Eric Hodgins, 1946, together with it's original paper dust jacket cover. Simon and Schuster, First Printing 1946. Illustrated by William Steig. This is a really fun book to read and it's so interesting to read about the costs associated with building a house back in the forties. It's amazing how inexpensive it was back then compared to today. The book itself is in very nice vintage condition for it's age, and shows only very limited and extremely light edgewear. The dust jacket has taken most of the wear with some light discoloration, fading, edgewear, tears, bends, and several small missing pieces of the paper dust cover along the edges. The pages of the book have no writing, bends, rips, tears, or staining that we could find, only overall normal yellowing and discoloration from age. Inside on the first page is handwriting in ink dated May 21, 1947 Approx. 8-3/8" tall and 5-7/8" wide. 237 pages. Please review the pictures as they are a part of the description.
