Description: 1946-52 Albertype B&W HOF Plaque Postcard (Type 2) -JOHNNY EVERS These non-player postcards are MUCH tougher to find and were sold in lesser quantities than those featuring those that had been enshrined. Albertype made the Black & White Hall of Fame plaques from 1944 to 1952 after which Artvue made them. There are two types of Albertype PC's, this group is from the Type 2 version where "New York" on front is spelled out and NOT abbreviated at "N.Y." Keep in mind these are legitimate baseball cards depicting HOFers made in the 1940's to the early 1950's! Type 1's were made in 1944-1945 while Type 2 PC's were made from 1946-1952 with the new inductees added along the way. Damage free back. Please see scans for condition.
