Description: Very rare, original (likely) theater made victory pin at the end of WW2. Many mysteries surround this pin. From the estate of a long-time WW2 militaria collector. The 2 headed eagle on the pin is a symbol for Mysore State of India. It could very well be a Military Cap Badge or Hat Pin the Mysore State Forces altered as a gift. Many of the US WW2 soldiers or marines stationed in Bangalore visited Mysore. They certainly came in touch with the Mysore forces while in Bangalore. The reverse indicates the inscription "MEMORIES OF BANGALORE." Memories of an Allied ( US?) Serviceman posted in Bangalore from 1944 to 1945. This pin appears to be sterling and brass. No hallmarks found. It measures approximately 30mm wide x 35mm. SHIPPED IN A BOX See photos for the best description. Thanks for looking!
