Description: Mom's Currency 1943 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coin Our mom loved to travel and she was fascinated by paper currency and coins from other countries as well as the US. She loved the history that you could learn by collecting old coins from any country. When she passed away we found ourselves with a lot of banknotes and coins as well as silver (she could never afford to invest in gold). We have reached an age where we are trying to downsize our lives. So we would like to see our mom's collection end up with others who will appreciate the beauty and value of these items as she did. We can't really say that all of the items in her collection are 'collectable' but hopefully we will find others to enjoy them as much as she did. This is a 1943 Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin. It weighs 12.5 grams. It is 30.6 mm in diameter and 2.15 mm in thickness. It's KM:142 and Numista catalog number N# 4455. It's composition is .90 silver. Condition: This coin has not circulated. The rating of "CH BU" (and price) was done by a professional coin dealer that our mom purchased this from in the 1980's. Please examine all the photos in the gallery carefully. Sometimes there are reflections in the plastic that I cannot avoid and those should not be considered defects to the coin. All items come from my family's personal collection.
