Description: This unique and fascinating 1943 S Steel Cent is a must-have for any coin collector. With various shades of silver and grey, this Lincoln Wheat coin is a rare find. The coin has a Business strike type and was minted in San Francisco. It features a few interesting varieties such as DDO in the date, IGWT and in LIBERTY. If you look closely at Lincolns face, you can see that it was doubled quite dramatically. I gave good close ups of that doubling as well. It also has some good doubling on all of the devices on the reverse also. Id say the most dramatic feature of this coin, however, would be the grease strike thru, missing the "s" mint mark & the number "4" from the date. On the reverse side of the coin around the 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions, it may look like as if it has 2 large scratches, but what it is actually are two deep die cracks, so dont let that fool you. You can see it just fine with a jewelers loop. The coin is ungraded and uncertified, making it an excellent addition to any collection. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this trippy coin!
