Description: 1942 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Doubled Die Reverse (DDR). Very Good Grade. Strong doubling on HALF DOLLAR, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the olive branch, and the lower eagle. The rims on both obverse and reverse are full and complete. All lettering on the reverse is clear and readable. It must be noted there is a rim bump under the letter O of DOLLAR on the reverse. This DDR variety is included in the Cherrypickers' Guide to Rare Die Varieties 5th Edition Volume 2, and can be found on page 274. Excellent close-up photos of a higher-grade example of this DDR can be found on the Variety Vista website. Original surfaces that have not been messed with. Grading is subjective.
