Description: Up for auction is a beautiful dual censored cover from Lucie Hirsch in Germany to the Famous Belt and Novelty Company in New York City, USA. In excellent condition. Priced to sell. Postmarked 1941. The sender is Jewish and under the Nuremburg laws was forced to add "Sara" to her name. Men had to add "Israel" to theirs. Many Jews attempting to flee the Nazi regime were writing friends and relatives in the USA in a futile attempt to find refuge here. Rare Judaica postal history cover. The cancel is hard to read but appears to be unusual. Not for a city or town. Shipping will be a flat $3.00 within the continental U.S. for USPS mail. Overseas airmail shipping is $14.00, includes registered mail shipping. Questions? Please contact me at: azteccollectables at hotmail.com.
