This dress is completely see-through and has a long slit to the skirt, center front and back. It's been paired with a black straight skirt to create a classic New Look ensemble. Dress is fragile and in fair condition (see Condition Detail below); skirt is pristine and top quality. Ladies' Size 2 to 3 Measurements Dress: Bust 36.5, Waist 27, Hip up to 46; Neck to Waist 16.5, Neck to Hem 41.5 Inches Skirt: Waist 24, Hip 37; Length 24.5 Inches Era 1940s - 50s Label None in dress, factory made with overlocked interior hems; skirt has ' LEONARD ARKIN ' at inside back waist Materials Sheer black and offwhite wedge print silk organza, black raw silk, black taffeta facings Closure Center front self buttons & loops to dress bodice, side seam metal zipper & hook/eye to skirt Condition Mint / Fair Condition Detail Skirt is mint, skirt is not original to the dress but was made in the 1950s; dress has mild yellowing under the arms with small tears that indicate the beginnings of shattering (see seventh photo), dress right shoulder has a long tear (see sixth photo) Washing Instructions Dry clean skirt; dress is not recommended for cleaning due to fragility unless using an antique garment specialist Please note: All measurements (bust - waist - hip) are the maximum body measurements that will fit the item.
