Description: This is a damaged but interesting cover, mailed in a Netherlands Indies Red Cross formula envelope for mailing letters to POWs via the International Red Cross in Geneva, Switzerland, mailed by a Mart. v. d, Klauw from Singkawang, Netherlands East Indies on (it looks like) December 1940., It was censored by the local Red Cross, which added the tape at left and rubberstamped it so it did not need to be censored again before the message was sent on to the recipient. Docketed on front "Via KLM to Iraq." Large piece missing at lower right and vertical fold, otherwise fair and a great postal history item. High bidder pays $1.50 shipping within the US; international $2. We combine shipping so buy other of our items.
