Description: Description: In 1924, Jim Crowley starred at Notre Dame under Knute Rockne as one of the Four Horsemen along with Harry Stuhldreher, Don Miller and Elmer Layden. Here in 1939, Jim Crowley was head coach of the Fordham Rams and led his team to a 13-0 win over the St. Mary’s Gaels. Jim Crowley’s autograph would rate a 10/10 and is penned in blue ink around his picture. In addition to his autograph, Jim Crowley wrote, “Good Luck Always Bill.” The program is in Fair condition and entirely intact despite a small piece of tape on the bottom of the spine which has partially been torn off, 13-0 written in pencil on the page 14 scorecard, scratches on the cover (mostly on the back) and smudges on the reverse side. Though largely forgotten now, Jim Crowley was a very successful college coach and is one of only a handful who led his football teams to winning records for at least 14 consecutive seasons.
