Description: A fair copy of this rare book on early steel ships. There are several interesting paper items that were tucked inside--including a full page of the New York Herald Tribune from 19040 and a much earlier cut-out image of the ship Edward Sewall. The covers are badly stained and the spine is worn/faded. I think the book was likely damp at some point; I don't smell any musty odors, however. The hinges are badly cracked, producing some looseness. At one time there were insects that obviously got to the outside page edges. kevindaleybooks Note: I try to identify any flaws in books as much as possible. Sometimes a photo will catch something that I hadn't noticed when making the listing--so it's good practice to look at the photographs as well as to read the listing. I want buyers to be pleased with what they buy! Thanks for looking
