Description: From 1935-40, the Canada Starch Crown Brand produced these black and white photos. In addition to the player’s image on the front, a replica signature was printed as well. The pictures were initially mounted onto a beige/cream-colored backing but today, many will be found without that as collectors often removed them. An actual total number of photos are believed to be in the set but the issue was skip-numbered so the exact number is difficult to confirm. The set features a wide variety of some of the top hockey players of the era. Measuring at nearly 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″, the photos were slightly larger than postcards. Photos included in the set spotlight both individual players and complete teams. I don't grade cards because it's open to personal interpretation. I attach a large high resolution photo of the front and back of the card so you can judge for yourself.
