Description: Purchased from Ray Riddick! Before purchasing please take notice that the cover is almost fully ripped off and has some writing in pencil inside of it!! Also one page has come lose from the program! This is by far the rarest 1933 Fordham program and even tougher to find than the Albright contest publication. This game was played October 21, 1933 and The Fordham Rams defeated Boston College 32-6 at the Polo Grounds in New York City. This was the Boston College Eagles only loss of the season as they finished 8-1. Although he is not pictured and not listed, Vince Lombardi was a freshman at Fordham and a member of the football team. This was also Jim Crowley’s first year coaching at Fordham and he is most famous for being one of the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Jim Crowley is pictured in this program. This was also the first year Frank Leahy was Fordham’s line coach and while his next assignment was ironically with Boston College, his most famous years were at Notre Dame. This Fair to Good condition program is in very presentable as well as particularly vibrant. Most significantly, the game is scored and scored correctly using light graphite pencil. This is the first time we have ever seen this done properly in a 1930s football program. 1933 FORDHAM RAMS BOSTON COLLEGE EAGLES FOOTBALL PROGRAM VINCE LOMBARDI FRESHMAN.
