Description: Hi Again Guys and Gals, cruising is going on and if you found you may need some transmission help, here I have done another reconditioned, 1939 style, 3-spd. transmission for 1932-1939 Fords. Is very popular with flathead hot rodders. This has the 1937-1939 #78 rear transmission mount. (Could change for your application). This one features closed drive line. This unit has the 48 case, 68 single detent shifter with 3" fork. What I do is, completely disassemble transmission and shifter, inspect all parts, and clean all parts. I then take the case and shifter to machine shop and clean with engine blaster. I then install the 1948 style syncronized gears. I reassemble, replacing bad parts, using new gaskets and seals. I also go through the shifter, clean, check spring tension to make sure okay. I then prime unit in black and painted the original Ford green. Then I build a shipping crate to ship in.
