Northwestern grid star's marriage annulled. Northwestern University grid fans were completely upset the day before the Minnesota game when it was revealed that Ken Meenan, sophomore halfback star, had eloped last August with Miss Helen Major. The marriage had been kept secret until Miss Major's parents secured an annulment because she was only 17, and Meenan 19. It was feared Meenan would be dropped from school for eloping, as others have been, but the dean brushed away the gloom by announcing that as the elopement took place during vacation, and because Miss Major was not a co-ed at Northwestern, no action would be taken, Ken Meenan is shown above.Photo measures 6.5 x 8.5inches.
