Cover is made out of heavy cast metal and has a Borzoi / Russian Wolfhound / dog handle at the top. Could be used on a desk for paper clips, rubber bands, pencil leads, etc. Or used on your dresser for earrings, pins, or rings. In very good vintage condition. A few surface scratches to the silver plated top. Carefully cared for with silver cream. Non-smoking home.
