Description: Beautiful 1930s bias cut rayon acetate gown with a fantastic floral print. It’s a registered design from the Fashion Originators Guild of America. FOGA was to prevent original clothing designs from being copied and it was only used from 1932-1941. This gown has ruching on the sides and middle of the bust and there are three snaps along the side seam. The back is amazing where the dress is cut with a V seam that creates a bit of a fishtail look. This has a repair on the bodice side just above the snaps. It was repaired with a big iron on patch. There is also a very faint sign where it had darts in the back bodice and they were taken out. These were too faint to photograph but you can see it when held up to the light. I don’t think the darts had been there originally. Selling as is. The measurements are: 36-38” bust 28” waist but probably best for a bit smaller 38” hips 58” shoulder to hem
