Description: Good vintage condition for its age. Some fine surface scratches, flea bites/scratches, and oxidation on back surface metal and on metal "stems" (piece was treated for verdigris where we were able to reach the surfaces). Colored glass beads are original. They contain air bubbles and minor crazing on the amber glass bead. No visible cracks or damage on the beads. Most of the clear paste stones were missing; they were replaced with NOS crystals of the same color and size, and similar cut. We left most of the remaining original stones even though they are a little discolored. Brooch is constructed with two layers for the flower, leaving space in the middle where the ball beads sprout out. The back piece of the flower does have some empty gemstone cups but we do not think they were ever filled with stones because they look "clean" with none of the gold "wash" or shellac you see on the top layer.An aged beauty, with a playful look. Carefully packaged and shipped in a jewelry gift box.
