1930s Trifari Krussman Fishel TKF KTF Baguette Crystal Figure 8 Infinity Brooch

Description: Very good vintage condition for its age. Some fine surface scratches and light surface wear. Rhodium plating is lush and bright, wonderful for its age. All stones are original and intact, and that is hardly surprising because most of the stones are firmly set. Stones are comprised of chaton and baguette Austrian rhinestones, securely set in a channel bezel setting with smaller chatons that are pave set. All of the stones are hand set, as evidenced by the fine compressions and tooling marks overlapping the edges of the chatons. All stones are original, and intact. They have greyed or yellow over time. Replacing them will require care and expertise, given the manner in which they are set--they are not simply glued in place. It's best to enjoy the brooch's aged beauty. Note the fine details, such as the milgrain bezel lines, and geometric arrangements. Clasp works well and is secure. Rollover mechanism is reverse motion, meaning the direction to close and open is opposite what you typically may be used to in newer brooches. Piece is signed with the initials "kTf," with are the initials for Trifari, Krussman, and Fishel, the team that catapulted Trifari to great success. This is the earliest confirmed mark for Trifari and was only used for a brief period of time, until the mid 1930s. It was thought that this was an early Alfred Philippe design, but no design patent for this brooch could be found to verify the identity of the in-house designer.Carefully package and shipped in a jewelry gift box.
