Established in 1923, KISC realizes the dream of Scouting founder Robert Baden-Powell by offering a permanent mini-jamboree site that fosters international fellowship and adventure. Located in the village of Kandersteg, it provides diverse accommodations, from dormitories and chalets to camping grounds, and hosts activities such as hiking, skiing, mountaineering, and environmental education. Emphasizing international friendship and intercultural exchange, KISC allows Scouts to collaborate with peers globally, supported by an international volunteer staff known as "Pinkies." The center embodies the Scouting spirit, inspiring young people to become active and responsible global citizens.
