This East Aurora based artist was an early 20th century Neo-Realist whose paintings, drawings and sketches hung showed in over 200 exhibitions from The Salon in Paris, the Albright Knox to the Lincoln Center’s Cork Gallery. A student of such notables as Charles Burchfield and Millard Sheets, Underwood was herself a teacher and renowned lecturer on wood-cut prints. She was a graduate of Pratt Institute and the Berkshire Summer School of Art. She studied at SUNY Buffalo and The Art Institute. Underwood’s work communicates both realism and conceptual impressionism and she is remembered as a superb colorist, luminist and draftsman.  All our Evelyn Notman Underwood pieces are original hand made pieces of art - no reproductions or copies, some of her early works are signed/initialed “EN” or “Evelyn Notman”, her maiden name.  LOC:  EPH3-19StoreAdd to FavoritesFeedback1930s BUFFALO SKYLINE ART DRAWING E UNDERWOOD HH Richardson Twin Towers Olmstead STAMPED Original EVELYN NOTMAN UNDERWOOD PENCIL DRAWING - CIRCA 1930sThis is a wonderful original art work of the BUFFALO, NY SKYLINE in the Mid to Late 1930s. This pencil sketch features the Twin Towers of the H.
