Description: These were found together and appear to be have been made by the same person, given similarities in style. First is a child's smock, the kind used in kindergarten classes to keep paint off a child's clothes. However there are no paint marks on this so I think it was more likely for kitchen use. It has three pockets in the front, an attached sash that ties in the back, and fastens at the top back with a snap and a safety pin. Citrus fruit print with green bias tape decorations and binding. This smock appears to have seen regular use, but I found no holes or stains. The second item is an apron, with two unusually-shaped pockets. Goes over the head and ties in the back. Fabric is quite faded and bias tape trim is well worn, see pics. I think it saw a lot more use than the smock. There are two small holes, one in the front between the pockets and the other in the back of the neck; see pics. The items in the pockets are not included but are placed there to show the pocket location.
