The Documents in the Case is the only one of Sayers' twelve major crime novels not to feature her protagonist Lord Peter Wimsey, however it does feature the secondary character, forensic analyst Sir James Lubbock. The epistolary novel tells the story of a young man trying to get justice for his father. Written with Robert Eustace, a penname for Dr Eustace Barton, an author known for his medical-crime novels. CONDITION In the original back cloth binding. Rebacked with spine laid down. Externally smart with rubbing to the boards. Slight bumping to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages. Marginal age toning due to paper used.
