Description: 1930 special delivery, illustrated commercial advertising cover sent from Buffalo, NY to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. This is a beautiful and unusual cover. It was sent by the K.R. Wilson Company (Manufacturers of Modern Tools for Ford Shops) to a freight agent with the Canadian National Railway. Interestingly, what would normally be the reverse of the cover is where the address and return address are provided and where the envelope is sealed. That leaves the other side clean for an amazing, detailed black-and-white depiction of the K.R. Wilson plant in Buffalo, NY. There is also a reminder that "Special tools save 75% of labor costs." On the front, the cover has a cancellation reading February 26, 1930 (Buffalo, NY (2)), and on the reverse, it has a cancellation reading February 27, 1930 (Winnipeg, Canada). In addition, there are handwritten notations on the front reading "Special Delivery" and "2842." The cover is franked with one 2c and two 10c (Scott #E15) stamps. Clearly, this was an important letter. The cover is in excellent, clean condition.
