Illustrations: Colour frontispiece & various other illustrations (1 colour, 1 folding) and inserts, some multi-page, some in a smaller format. Provenance: Armorial bookplate of Stanley William Sykes to front pastedown. Description: Limitation statement at front reads: "This copy is one of 100 special copies bound and printed for members of the First Edition Club by courtesy of Mr Stanley Morison. No. 70." A scarce volume bound in the original blue cloth with decorative gilt border to boards. Spine with gilt lettering on morocco label, and gilt decoration. Top edge gilt (rubbed). Externally firm with a little wear and bumping to extremities, spine sunned and with slight lean towards head. Internally sound and firm, pages mostly very clean and tidy, just occasional offsetting from illustrations else clean and in good order. Final leaf with colophon stating "Printed by Walter Lewis, M.A. at the University Press Cambridge" and with "In the Press" notice for The Dawks Family of Booksellers. . . . [&c] to verso.
