Description: 1928 ad First National Bank Bldg., Tampa, Florida by the ATLANTA TERRA COTTA CO. This is an attractive ad for building products used in the construction of the new First National Bank Building in Tampa, Florida. It appeared in the Jan. 5, 1928 issue of a rare industrial magazine called the Manufacturers Record. The ad measures 8.5 x 12 inches in size, and is in fine condition. It was placed by the Atlanta Terra Cotta Co., with offices located in Atlanta, and with its factory at East Point, Georgia. The bank building appears to have been at least 13 stories high, with lots of office space above the Bank on its first floor. Its text describes some architectural fine points of the building, saying this: Typical of the New Florida is this modern office building. Contrast it with the neighboring building to the left palpably of the old order. Above the third story, the Atlanta Terra Cotta, of a deep cream color, fire flashed in varying shades of buff to golden brown and accented by darker tones in the spandrels and lunettes, with harmonizing brick work, convey an impression of unique yet winning regular irregularity.
