Description: This Divo card #19 from the 1927/1928 Amatller Automovilismo set has wear to the card to include damaged corners. There are no creases. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card. This issue of the Amatller Automovilismo set consists of 23 cards featuring prominent drivers in Europe and the Catalonia region. Amatller is a chocolate company based in Barcelona, Spain, since 1797 and continues to operate today. They would include these cards with the purchase of their chocolate. The front of the card features the driver/riding mechanic while the back of the card has driver information written in Spanish. Albert Divo was born in France in 1895. He was victorious in 1923 at the Spanish Grand Prix and would win the Targa Florio in 1928 and 1929. He was the riding mechanic for Rene Thomas in the 1921 Indianapolis 500. He would pass away in France in 1966. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past.
