Description: A light, silver-plate serving tray commemorating the Sesqui-Centennial (150 year anniversary) of the United States. Inscribed with "150 YEARS of AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE." Made in England (lol). 1776-1926 Depicts Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Philadelphia City Hall, and the Liberty Bell. This historical serving tray weighs only 11 ounces. It is about 14 inches by 11 inches. This platter is almost 100 years old and it looks it. It is in rough condition. There are several spots where the silver-plate has worn through and it has even begun to rust. There are also some minor dents, scratches, water marks and ring marks from being used as a drinks tray. If not for the historical significance, this would not be worth saving, but what a cool reminder of the celebration of America in 1926! Maybe it could clean up more -- I didn't put a lot of time into it. See photos for more details. Feel free to ask any questions prior to purchase. While not an expert in antiques, I do a reasonable amount of research before listing an item and am quite vintage myself. Thank you for your interest!
