Photo shows a model of Pittsburgh's "Cathedral of Learning" to be erected in 1925 by the University of Pittsburgh at a cost of $10,000,000 to house 12,000 students. The building, which will house the entire university except the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry is to be Gothic in style, 360-feet long, 260-feet wide and 680-feet tall. It will have 52 stories reached by 16 high speed elevators, one of the tallest and most imposing masonry structures in the world. The material used will be Kentucky limestone. Charles Z Klauder of Philadelphia is the architect. The building is the culmination of years of planning by Chancellor John G. Bowman and other leading Pittsburghers.
