Description: In 1923, President Warren G. Harding started to feel the heat in Washington, D.C., politically over Teapot Dome issues as well as by the mean temperature. So he and his wife and various cabinet members planned an extensive trip to take his and the press's minds off problems. A set of stereo view cards was the result which have become desirable among collectors since it shows so many interesting snapshots of people, places and things he experienced. The party headed out west across the plains then clear up to Alaska and back down through Washington, Oregon to California, where Harding died on August 2 at a hotel in San Francisco, shocking the nation. This Keystone View Company card shows the president on a platform giving a speech at "Old Oregon Trail" celebration at Meacham, Oregon. We have several viewer cards showing Harding doing "stuff" around that place for sale in our eBay store. This is in decent condition but please enlarge our image to judge this for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. Part of the BL corner of the mount is off and there are indentations at the left edge of that left image. Therefore, we are pricing it lower than the last example we sold. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases. Shipping on this will be $6.50 carefully packed-first class with tracking in a box. 7756
