Fine tree calf prize binding, with minimal scuffing and wear towards top of rear board. Hinges remain in good condition, with minor cracking towards front of volume. Text block remains bound well. Light markings and marginalia, along with a prize bookplate on front pastedown, with some loss around bottom left corner. Periodic black-and-white illustrations and maps throughout.
