Description: This is a very rare, beautiful vintage 3-blade balloon split back whittler pattern knife manufactured by QUEEN CITY. THE PICTUES DO SHOW CAMERA SHADOWS. Based on the tang stamp, it was produced 1922 to 1932 only. It measures 3-1/2"in the closed position. All 3 blades are near full with some scratches and age pits it has been cleaned at some time, but all 3 blades do sit in the right positions open and closed. All 3 blades also have good snap opening and closing all tight and right! The main blade tang is stamped QUEEN CITY. The handles are beautiful long groove jigged Winterbottom bone with no chips or cracks and brass pins and brass liners. It has a shiny nickel silver pinned, (not glued like these days) bar shield and beautiful nickel silver front and rear bolsters, tight and right! It has a beautiful Crest nickel silver pinned shield and shiny nickel silver front and rear bolsters. This is a very nice and tight vintage made 3 blade balloon split back whittler that has been taken care of and it came from a large collection of a 60-year 3 generation collection.
