Mrs. Wood was subpoenaed and had appeared before Justice Morschauser earlier in the day. It is rumored that she told a detailed story of a blackmail plot against her family which culminated when her brother killed Peters, a poverty stricken sailor lad on the lonely Kensico Road on May 16.
