The books were written in 1905 and 1906. These books tell tales about Jack Lightfoot, the best athlete at the fictional Cranford High School. He is great at all kinds of different sports, but he lacks confidence. This particular book is about Jack Lightfoot playing baseball and trying to be a horse-racing jockey.
