LORIS MELFORD HAHN. Mrs. Hahn was a silent movie actress and appeared in films with Charlie Chaplin. After retiring from acting in 1918 she created Melford Kennels in Los Angeles, California, and was a very successful breeder of all dogs specializing in German Shepherds (most of which became police dogs) and helped train Rin Tin Tin. She, along with her husband, were very successful showing dogs in AKC competitions throughout Southern California and the entire west coast. We will be listing many fabulous and unique photos from this estate which depict her in film, her husband and his race cars, incredible photos of German Shepherds in a variety of shots (including many with her son Gene - born in 1925 - helps to date photos), AKC ribbons and medals, and much more!
