Description: 1920s A.W. Wadsworth & Son Sleeveboard Mother of Pearl 2 Blade Pen Knife Blemish Exact knife in photos. Manufacturer was A.W. / Wadsworth / & Son / Germany, and so marked on both blades’ obverse tangs. Company operated from 1905 until 1936; we estimate this one from 1920. Sleeveboard pattern 2 blade pen knife with mother of pearl handles. Chrome vanadium steel blades and backspring; nickel bolsters; brass liners and pins; genuine Mother of Pearl handle panels. Note the pin crack in the reverse side’s handle panel. 2 1/8 inches main spear pattern blade; 1 7/16 inch pen blade; 2 3/4 inches oal closed. Apart from the rear handle panel blemish, it has minimal wear, principally a few freckles on the blade surfaces. We rate damaged or blemished but otherwise Excellent condition, never used or sharpened, but photos ought to suffice. Excellent backspring strength.
