Description: "What? That's not green! What is this girl on?" I hear you ask. Well my friend, congratulations for being today years old when you learned that green signal lanterns had turquoise colored glass on them! The combination of the blue-hued glass and the yellow flame of the lantern would produce… you guessed it: green!BAM! Colour theory! This lantern was made by Hiram Piper for the Canadian Pacific Railway, and was meant to be held in the hand as a signalling device. In this case, a green light meant a few things from indicating that the switches were aligned properly, to "Proceed with caution". There are a few other meanings as well, but I'll leave those for the railway experts out there. Measures 14.25" tall by 8" by 6" with the handle up.
