Description: Stunning antique quilt in an Irish Chain pattern. This is such a happy quilt! The yellow polka dot fabric is used on the front as well as the back. The other fabrics are approximately 2" square and include florals, goemetrics, novelties and solids. They are from 1910 - 1935 based on the book Dating Fabrics by Eileen Jahnke Trestain. Most look to be from the 20s. It is hard to know when it was made because someone could have used older fabrics but the style and weight indicate it was likely made in the 1920s - 30s. It is in very good condition. It measures 69" x 83" and is shown on a full size bed. Sourced in western North Carolina.
