Description: After more than 60 years of collecting it is time to move my collections along. Here is TWO interesting and historic coins, Canadian copper One Cent pieces from 1920 where they did a mid year design change resulting in issuing both a large and small cent. As they were still a British dominion under England’s King George V, his bust appears on both designs. In 1920, for economic reasons to use less copper, they introduced a dramatically change in designs. The die was reduced from 25.4mm to 19.05mm and for the first time in Canadian mintage the one cent was issued with no rim denticles or dots. Sir E.B. McKennal’s obverse design from 1912 was continued but became smaller to fit the new coin size. This small cent design continued until 1936. On the large cent, there is a noticeable dig underneath the King”s ear on the obverse. Otherwise, the coin shows normal circulation marks. The small cent shows minimal circulation wear and is in overall fine condition. See pics for both coins. FREE SHIPPING to within the US.
