Description: This is an RPPC image of Henley Avenue in Fairmount, Indiana, circa 1917, which is the stamped date of its mailing from Youngstown, Ohio to Fairmount. Depicting a nice perspective view of several of the houses and large shade trees along the Avenue, with message written along part of the white border stating: "I don't live in this street but wanted you to remember me" The reverse side has another charming message written in pencil: "Dear Friend, I hope you are getting along alright. I think you will remember me. From Melvin Cain, The paper boy. The card is in generally good shape overall, with some obvious soiling and stains to the reverse side and tiny corner bumps and light creases to same, with some evident smudging to the penciled message as well. Image is crisp and clear with rather nice detail. Mailed to Mr. John Richards in Youngstown, care of The William Tod Company (here given as Wm. Todd & Co., 1890 Chalmers Ave.) Please read descriptions of my listings completely and feel free to contact me with any questions you might have regarding uncertainty about what is shown in the listing, prior to bidding on the item, and I'll do my best to respond quickly and thoroughly to your concerns.
