Description: 1914 Glacier Park Map Chief Mtn Quadrangle 1903 Topograph Survey Montana 7.5 Min Description Original 1914 topographic 7.5 minute map known as the Chief Mountain section encompassing most of the original Glacier National Park in Northwest Montana. Only a few years before this map in 1910, the park was proclaimed. This map only shows large black lettering of the region and no bounderies are yet mapped. This map was a reprint of the original survey done in 1903. I believe thi is the updated one to show the new National Park Region. Points of interest are the old town of Glacier on the big Lake McDonald, the Continental Divide, early Glaciers plus the tremendous peaks in the region. Much more and a great comparison of newer maps. Measures 16 1/2" X 20".. Back has all the customary USGS info, signs and usage guide printed. Map is very clean and never folded, has a little corner loss at binder holes where it was removed. No writing anywhere. No disappointments of this rare map. Scroll down to see all images.
